At the 2025 Pediatric MEG Think Tank Retreat that took place in West Virginia, USA, this spring, our company founder Dr. Michael Scherg received a lifetime award for his work in pioneering source analysis of evoked potentials and magnetic fields, developing algorithms and software for analyzing brain imaging data, and teaching generations of clinicians and researchers how to analyze EEG and MEG data.
Michael was one of the founding fathers of the field of source analysis in neuroimaging, and some of his publications have been cited more than 1000 times. His interests included many topics in EEG and MEG data recording and analysis, and apart from founding the company which now celebrates its 30th birthday, he also held a professorship at the University of Heidelberg, Germany, and created a large scientific network with researchers and clinicians from many countries.
