Functional brain connectivity can be analyzed with high temporal and spatial precision in both event-related and resting-state EEG and MEG data. However, the methodology is complex, and there are many caveats to navigate. This workshop will present the underlying concepts, point out potential pitfalls, and walk hands-on through the analysis pipeline in BESA Research and BESA Connectivity. It is suitable for all researchers with an interest in brain connectivity estimation.
A brief outline of the workshop program:
– Theoretical introduction into source-level imaging, time-frequency and connectivity analysis
– Definition of experimental paradigm and study goals
– Data pre-processing
– Identifying brain atlas or source model for the given experiment
– Running the analysis pipeline
– Pipeline automation for group-level analysis
– Considerations for statistical analysis of results
From Registration will take place directly on the ICON conference pages once the program is finalized on https://icon2025.pt/program/scientific-program
